The 'little' de Wolfe Brother, Thomas, is no longer little. The de Wolfe cub has become a big, powerful Wolfe all his own...

1291 A.D. - Thomas de Wolfe, commander of Wark Castle, an outpost for Castle Questing, his father's powerful fortress, has come out from the shadow of his mighty father and brothers. Now, he is known as StormWolfe for his fearlessness and cunning. Where Thomas de Wolfe goes, storms are sure to gather.

Thomas is rightly feared along the borders just as his father was, because there is no Sassenach knight more courageous or deadly than a de Wolfe. But along with the qualities that make him fearsome, he is also know for being highly intelligent and more than a match for the reivers that run raids along the borders. In the fight against the reivers, Thomas leads the charge.

But he has a weakness...

Lady Maitland “Mae” de Ryes Bowlin is the sister of Thomas’ good friend. A widow, she has committed herself to a life of servitude with the church and has been assigned the guardianship of a foundling home. Unfortunately, the foundling home has been devastated by mismanagement and the children are starving. It’s Mae to the rescue and Thomas is fascinated by this strong, industrious woman. In fact, he’s quite taken with her, but there’s one problem –

He’s betrothed to a madwoman.

Thomas is betrothed to the heiress to the Earldom of Northumbria. Marrying her will make him one of the largest landowners in the north. But Adelaide is hiding a dark and terrible secret, one that threatens the very security of the House of de Wolfe. She wants Thomas and she wants him badly enough to kill. When Thomas realizes Adelaide’s true motives, it may be too late to save himself… and Mae.

It’s another action-packed de Wolfe Pack novel that is sure to leave you breathless!

"Thomas is the youngest son of a great man. He is the last of his male siblings to settle down, but there is reason for it. Thomas has known his own heartbreak. His father, whom he greatly loves and respects, has betrothed him to a young woman whose father will leave everything to Thomas, making him a very wealthy and powerful man someday. But this young woman is a nightmare.
As a result of an unexpected visit, Thomas meets the sister of his friend, a widow who has dedicated her life to the church, as she is passing through the area. Lady Maitland is on her way to an orphanage as its new administrator.
Thomas is impressed, and that’s putting it mildly. Maitland, or “Mae”, returns Thomas’ feelings, but knows it can go no where as he is betrothed. Their longing for each other must be put aside.
But, the plot thickens with the increasingly bizarre behavior of Thomas’ fiancé, the enemies of Thomas’ family intent upon doing him harm, and the recent dark history of the orphanage Mae is sent to by the church. The intrigue and twists are enthralling! The characters are colorful, and there are moments of humor that had me chuckling aloud.
I can’t recommend this enough, for readers of historical romance who enjoy knights and their ladies, this is the best."

  • Being the son of The Wolfe and especially living up to several older brothers can put lots of obstacles in a sons life to have to prove to them that he strong, can handle anything that life throws at him will put a strain on their relationship with them let alone having to marry someone that you don't know let alone even know. This is the book about Thomas the youngest son of William, the Wolfe , he is hurting from the past of a lost love, through meeting too late and then her death, leaves the country with a family friend and they both earn names to the strength, the killing and the living of their lives, Thomas earns the name of "StormWolfe" being that every time he is in serious fighting he unleashes a storm that is worst then can be expected. Thomas finally makes it back home and goes through finding his place and ends up taking over the castle Wark, for his father. Then comes the time that William calls all his sons home for a meeting when it is to get Thomas to be engaged. A skirmish that leaves many feelings of unease and unhappiness.
In comes the sister to Desmond, Maitland, widow of Sir Bowlin, on her way to take over a foundling home and comes to stay overnight at Wark Castle to visit with Desmond. While there she meets Thomas and sparks fly between them and each in their way can't fathom what is really happening.
Then there is the theatrics of Thomas's fiance, Adelaide, a evil woman that would do anything to make Thomas love her but doing everything to make him hate her instead.
Kathryn. has done it again by taking over the attention of your mind and not letting go once into the book there are sparks flying, blood on walls. death, fighting with revers, revenge, and it goes from there having you laughing one minute, crying the next and then wanting to knock sense into an evil woman.
You can't simply put down any of Kathryn's books and Stormwolfe is another step further into the medieval time of a much love characters family and friends. Which you can get hooked into and not want to stop til you have read each and every book by her.
Please read Stormwolfe for you will fall in love with Tommy and Mae and with the whole Wolfe family.

His father sight unseen has betrothed him to the Earl of Northumbria’s daughter, Adelaide. Thomas is not having it and tries to run away is caught and resigned to marry her. What Thomas finds out after meeting Adelaide, she is a mad crazy woman who has an affinity to cutting herself. Thomas does everything he can to be nice to the lady but in actuality can’t stand her. When Thomas’s second in command brings his sister Maitland “Mae” Bowlin he is easily charmed and enchanted by her. Unfortunately since Mae is a widow she is bound to a life of charity and has been sent to Edenside, a foundling home. As Mae and Thomas come to know each other the attraction grows but everything stands in their way Thomas’s betrothed, family and even countries. Will Thomas and Maitland ever find the happily ever after meant for them or will everything tear them apart?
What an amazingly written deeply involved novel of a wonderful family that just tugs at the heartstrings! Finally after long last we meet up again with the de Wolfe family which Ms. Le Veque has written extensively about the family but we never lose the fascination and love that just enthralls us about them. Of course Ms. Le Veque also just knows how to tell a truly fantastic story and her themes never get old. Sure this book is part of a series but this book can also easily stand alone. Plus the book is full of non-stop action and a pretty bad dilemma since the main male protagonist is already engaged and is in love with someone else. Love always finds a way to triumph over all. Thomas de Wolfe, the youngest de Wolfe, has a lot to live up too compared to his ever famous father and his brothers. Still Thomas manages to hold his own and there is a deep love that he has never gotten over. Thomas manages to find love when he least expects it and makes him that much more likable. He does have his moments though of not being the magnificent chivalrous hero especially in dealing with Adelaide but then again he does his best not to lose his cool even though it happens, then again who can blame him? Adelaide needed to be locked up in a mental institution despite her way of trying to get Thomas to love her. Mae on the other hand is just a great witty intelligent heroine that manages to save herself. Who doesn’t love that? There has to be more stories of this great family because they will definitely be great reads no matter what they are!
